Some time in 2002 (a couple of girlfriends ago), I dated a photographer. She talked endlessly about needing a field camera to do a project she had in mind. I hit eBay to see what my options were and immediately fell into a deep rabbit hole I would not emerge from for several years.
Then, in 2003, my best friends asked me to photograph them for the cover of a CD they were making. I was presented with a rented Hasselblad - a piece of gear I had been coveting for months - and fell in love with the process that film photography demands.
Since then, I've mostly photographed for myself, but the occasional commission has materialized here and there.
